A deal has been agreed for CBRE IM to bring forward all the affordable houses at this 1250-home scheme.
CBRE IM had previously partnered with Persimmon to deliver the affordable homes on the initial phases, and this partnership will deliver a further 152 affordable homes, including 78 homes for affordable rent and 74 homes for shared ownership.
In total, Persimmon Homes and CBRE IM will deliver 220 homes for affordable rent and 145 for shared ownership.
Phillip Mellor, land director at Persimmon Homes South Coast, said: “St. Peter’s Place has already become a thriving and welcoming new community, and today’s announcement marks another important step in delivering high-quality homes that local people need.

“Working with CBRE IM enables us to accelerate delivery at scale while ensuring long-term affordability and community benefit.”
Ann Xu, portfolio manager at CBRE UK Affordable Housing Fund added: “We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with Persimmon Homes through this next phase at St. Peter’s Place.
“Across five phases, AHF has now funded 365 much-needed affordable homes, helping to deliver both high-quality homes for the local community and strong, long-term investment and impact outcomes for our investors.
“This project reflects the core objectives of the Fund which is to increase the supply of affordable housing where it is needed most while creating sustainable, inclusive places for people to live.”
Construction on these phases is already underway with delivery continuing for the next three years.
